Future-proof and sustainable digital cities

We would warmly like to welcome you to a panel discussion in Brussels on the 16th of June at 9-11 that aims to explore how the green and digital transition is translated into practice.

In the panel we discuss the topic of sustainable digitalisation and how we can strengthen the link between digital and green. It will highlight future-proofed solutions, especially in cities.

Some questions we would like to explore are: What opportunities arise from the green and digital transformation for citizens? What kind of technical solutions, standards and digital skills do we need in the future to ensure that the digital transition is sustainable? How can cities lead by example? How can we facilitate the uptake of digital and green in our solutions and policies?

With us in the panel we have both representatives for the industries as well as cities and regions.

We will start with introductory remarks by Mr. Olavi Luotonen, European Commission, DG CNECT.
