Strengthening European democracy, starting from the local level
We would like to warmly welcome you to a breakfast seminar the 27th of April at 9.15-10.45 on the topic of local democracy and participation in the EU, from a Nordic perspective.
In times of big societal changes and instability in Europe, it is crucial to continue building stronger and more resilient local communities connected to the EU decision making.
What can we do on the local level to promote a stable democratic society in the EU? How can we strengthen the voice of the citizens of our municipalities and cities in the union?
These questions, among others, will be discussed at the seminar by politicians from the European parliament and the Committee of the Regions. The event is moderated by Teresa Küchler, journalist at Svenska Dagbladet.
This seminar is arranged in cooperation with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and KL Local Government Denmark. More information about the speakers will be published closer to the event in our channels.
Register for the in-person event here. Last registration date is 25.4.2022. Number of participants is limited.
